Worship services are usually held each Sunday at 9:00 am and each Wednesday at 5:30 pm.  The church office is open from 10:00 to 4:00, Monday through Thursday.  You may email Vicki or Deb at zlcw@mncable.net and call the church phone number at 218-386-1733.  Interim Pastor Keith Zeh is in Warroad every other week.  To talk with him or set up a time to meet, contact him at 218-790-1764 or email him at pastorkeithzeh@gmail.com.

Are you interested in sewing quilt tops?  Fabric is available!  There is no special pattern you need to do.  You can do blocks of any size.  A top can even be made from various sizes of blocks. You could use strips to make the top.  You can do some blocks and some strips. There doesn’t have to be a color scheme.  The fabric should be cotton or cotton polyester blend. The only requirement is the finished quilt top must be 60″ x 80″.  If you need fabric or have questions, please feel free to call Marlene Lewis at 218-386-2018 or Judy Landin at 218-242-0589.

If you happen to find items such as sheets, pillowcases, mattress pads, bedspreads, blankets, or even curtains that you’re not using, we can use them for quilting. The heavier fabric can be used for Lutheran World Relief school bags.  We can always use leftover fabric from one of your projects. Items can be dropped off at the church anytime during the summer.  If you are a rummage sale/yard sale shopper, you can always keep an eye out for the same supplies and donate them to the quilters.  If you have questions, please call Marlene Lewis at 218-386-2018 or Judy Landin at 218-242-0589.

You can help our neighbors who are injured, hungry, and displaced due to disaster.  You may give through ELCA Lutheran Disaster Response or Lutheran World Relief.  Both organizations are reputable and work with trusted local partners to reach children, women, and men in desperate need.

The Handyman Service is an opportunity for volunteers of Zion to provide help to fellow Zion members. The goal is to help our fellow members of Zion with tasks and jobs that will make your life a little better. There will not be any charges for this service, but we do expect the materials needed to be supplied by the homeowner. To request this service, call Keith Landin at 218-242-4284 or call the church office at 218-386-1733 and leave your contact information.

Please bring in the UPC symbol from any Our Family products that you buy. All we need is the barcode…all Our Family products’ barcodes start with 70253. Put them in the box hanging on the bulletin board just past the offices at the church.  The Christian Education Committee cuts and counts them, mails them in to the company — and then we receive 5 cents for each barcode.  Thanks for helping us with this ongoing fundraiser.

Supporting the ministries of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch:  Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch provides help — often to troubled kids who have lived through the most desperate of situations any child could face and for whom the Ranch represents one last chance at a life that’s more than mere survival.  Learn more about the work of this organization, the challenges the staff and youth face, and the miracles of healing and progress by visiting dakotaranch.org.  Please support this ministry with your prayers.  If you would like to provide financial gifts, you may donate online here or make your gift payable to Zion with “Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch” in the memo of your check.

ELCA Stories of Faith in Action share how important your weekly offering in your congregation is in sustaining and growing God’s mission. The portion of your offerings that support the ELCA’s synodical and churchwide ministries is called Mission Support. This publication helps explain and answer questions about Mission Support and tells the story of those gifts in action.  If you would like to download a pdf of this publication, you may do so at this link.

Warroad Food Pantry and Backpack Program:  Consider making a donation to the Warroad Food Pantry and the Warroad Backpack Program.  You may make your gift to Zion and the funds will be forwarded to the designated organization on your behalf.  Just designate “Warroad Food Pantry” or “Warroad Backpack Program” on your donation.
