Join us for worship on Sunday, March 16! Though we sometimes doubt and often resist God’s desire to protect and save us, our God persists. In holy baptism, God’s people have been called and gathered into a God-initiated relationship that will endure. Lent provides the church with a time and a tradition in which to seek God’s face again. Lent provides another occasion to behold the God of our salvation in the face of the Blessed One who “comes in the name of the Lord.”
Zion works to collect shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child program.
In the fall of the year, you can pick up a shoebox at the church or use one you already have at home. Fill it for a child to receive an act of God’s love. You may also drop off individual items in the designated drop box.

Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
