Just one bite from an infected mosquito is all it takes for a person to come down with malaria. Almost 800,000 people die of malaria each year. But it shouldn’t be this way. The disease is completely preventable and treatable.
Ending deaths from malaria is now a goal within our reach, thanks to a global movement of governments and international organizations. The ELCA and Lutheran churches in Africa are now part of this historic effort.
We need your help. Your prayers, your leadership, and your generous donations are needed to meet the ELCA’s fundraising goal of $15 million by 2015. Learn more at www.elca.org/malaria.
