Introduction to the Study of Acts
June 19, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
At the heart of congregational vitality is the work of God’s Spirit. The book of Acts gives us a stunning picture of what Christ Jesus can do through the work of the Holy Spirit with a handful of scattered, frightened believers. Their faith in the risen Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit transformed this small group into committed, passionate disciples who gave their lives to spreading the gospel from Jerusalem into the rest of the Roman Empire. They boldly proclaimed in word and deed the message of Jesus that extended throughout the whole Empire —and changed the world!
In this time of discernment and discovery related to the calling of a new pastor, Pastor Keith is inviting you to journey through the book of Acts with 28 chapters. It’s been said for good reason that the book of Acts is still being written. God’s Spirit is still at work in, with, and through the church and each disciple. What might be written about Zion in the 29th chapter?
You are all invited to join Pastor Keith in the Fellowship Hall at Zion on Monday, June 19, at 6:30 pm for an introduction to Acts along with an invitation to journey through this book by reading it with others in conversational style and prayer.
