COMET (Changing Our Mental and Emotional Trajectory) is a free, interactive training that helps people take the next step after noticing someone might be struggling. This training teaches simple tools to reach out in a meaningful, respectful, and supportive way to friends, coworkers, or acquaintances to help shift their mental health path to a place of wellness and away from mental health crisis. This training doesn’t expect community members to “fix it”, but instead trains people to feel comfortable initiating a supportive conversation.
The training will be Tuesday, April 14, at 6:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church. At 5:30 pm, a light supper will be provided by the Congregational Care Committee. There are limited seats at this training. To secure your spot email the church office, office@zlcw.org, with your name, phone number, and email or call 218-386-1733. Pre-registration is required by April 9.
COMET training is offered in collaboration with the University of MN Extension, The MN Department of Agriculture, and the MN Department of Health.
