Creative Works is a time where you can work on your own projects, work together on a church project, take a class on a new project, or just sit around and visit or drink a warm beverage! Come and get your creative juices flowing.
It’ll be a fun day at the next Creative Works at Zion on Sunday, April 7!
We’ll be “open” beginning at 10:00 and through the afternoon (no later than 5:00). Everyone is welcome to attend.
This month, an optional featured class will be offered beginning at 11:00 am. (If you want to take the class, you’ll need to pre-register. Details are below.)
A couple notes:
- If you are going to bring your sewing machine or another powered crafting tool, you may want to bring your own extension cord. Some will be available.
- An iron and ironing board will be available.
- A meal will be provided at 12:30 pm. A free-will offering will be taken to help cover the cost of lunch and beverages. Supper will not be served.
- You are welcome to bring a snack to share with others throughout the day.
April’s Featured Class
Making a Succulent Planter
The cost of the class is $5, plus $2 for each succulent plant you put in your planter. Nancy from Nancy’s Greenhouse on Birch Beach will be bringing all the supplies except for the pot/planter. YOU get to bring your own container – and you can be as creative as you want! Will it be an old shoe? A teacup or mug? A wooden box? A favorite bowl? A cute little pot? A hollow tree branch or log?
Here are guidelines for choosing your container: Think small. The container should be no more than 3 to 4 inches in diameter and/or hold approximately 2 cups of dirt. Items that are porous (like shoes, baskets, wood, etc.) will be lined with plastic which will be available at the class.
If you have questions, want more information, or to register, please call the church office at 218-386-1733, ext. 1 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
See you Sunday, April 7!
